Hello,

I am in need of thermal conductive/electrical isolation pads for mounting my TO-220 ICs to a heatsink. I have the thermal grease, but was not able to find the pads at the store. Searching around at other stores, I found this to be a trend. We don't have Radioshack north of the border any more.

I might just stick with Digikey/Mouser but was wondering which type the average consumer might go for as there seem to be a whole selection of materials and thicknesses to choose from. Also, store recommendations would be great if there are any!

The last pad I bought came from Digi-key. I had looked around a fair amount and that's where I ended up. Your mileage may vary.

 

I am surprised I have not come across kits or packages that include the pads/sheets with the bolts and bolt insulator...

I can't be the only person who finds this somewhat inconvenient... haha...

"Convenience" isn't cheap anymore..

I've used quite a few pads from Bergquist.. Good stuff..
