Anybody come across these little gems, drives a string of leds, from approx 0.9V dc, they are used a lot in garden solar lights, better than a joule thief...

Interesting.
Saves Back Charging one of the two batteries in series every nite, as in most garden lites.
Of course these people don't sell batteries I'll bet. thanks I put the pdf in my interesting file.

 

I have three sets of garden ornamental lights, two are single white leds, one has 100 coloured leds, no series resistors and they all use this chip, from a 1.2v 600mA nicad....amazing
