Hello all,

I 've found some reasonably priced 36 volt LED flood lights. My big question is, is it possible to power these using a standard 12volt system that I built on a home made off road trailer? I apoligize in advance for being a total dunce on electrical, but I do have other redeeming qualitys

I you can you might link to the 36V lights.

My first inclination is to say it isn't very feasable.

My second is to wonder what kind of convertor would work.

My third is to think in terms of modifying the lights themselfs.

None of this is practical without more information though, such as what the lights take in current.

Without info on the 36V torches themselves, we're spitting in the dark.

 

A DC-DC boost converter can do the trick.
