Hi All,

I'm using a Power Boost 1000c from adafruit to power my Raspberry Pi project.

It will be battery powered obviously and i wanted to have a simple battery monitor like this attached.

I shorted the red button and connected this module to Bat and ground on the Power Boost and works fine. The problem is that even when the board is powered off via Enable pin the module is still powered because the Bat pin on the PowerBoost is directly connected to battery.

What is the risk of having the on/off switch directly on the battery wire instead of Enable pin so i can cut power completely from the board? I'm assuming current spikes when turning it on. If so how can i mitigate that or is it safe? Thanks
