I am new here, so please move this thread if you feel it is best suited elsewhere!
I am student working on a basic clap-clap system with a Zedboard, so our team wanted to use a PMOD Mic3. However we are having some problem testing it, and would like to know if I am understanding it correctly.
PMOD Mic3 uses SPI
I have to feed it SCK and a SS and synchronize the two.
The gain controls the volume.
The picture on the link below is a very basic paint drawing of the setup.

However, when checking the MISO with an oscilloscope we get the same as the input from SCK.
Can you help? If you need more information or better pictures, I will contribute with it.
