I don’t think they are 2W while I stared blankly in my electronics store at the hundreds of resistors they had I looked at the 2W resistors and they are noticeably bigger. I will go with 1W as you suggested.

Good news is I was able to reassemble the unit just now and power it up and confirm all other inputs are working except for the problematic one. There is *some* sound coming out of the “bad” one which resembles a “blown speaker”.

The actual board that needs to be worked on is easily removable without taking the whole unit apart again.

I will order the parts and post an update on the outcome.

I am very grateful for all the help you guys have provided. You guys are great!

Thankyou again.

Also, one more question.

Under the transistors there is thermal paste, should I add new thermal paste to the new transistors or will what is there be sufficient to reuse?

If you have it, I would recommend you redo the thermal compound. Also, if these was a mica insulator, be sure that gets reinstalled (Some of these TO-3P cased transistors are fully insulated and do not require the mica).

I received the parts in 5 business days, installed and I’m back in business all for $12 including shipping.

There was no mica insulator, replaced both transistors and both resistors. Everything good now.

Thankyou very much everyone.

Resolved.
