NOW I have another question: is this actually supposed to be an alarm circuit?? OR a music system component?? I have seen piezo speakers used for the higher frequecy audio in sound systems is why I ask. THAT is a totally diferent application!!

 

The configured frequency is audible to the human ear. It is true that it can be used as an alarm sound, though strictly as a steady, monotone sound without any wailing. I would like to use this circuit as a dog bark stopper as well, but in that case, I must increase the frequency. Though, I think this frequency will affect dogs too?
