.If you prepare your own poultry be sure to add 1/2 cup vinegar to duck blood to prevent coagulation."
Missed that.

We used to have places around here that would have big signs in their storefront "We have duck blood"! Wasn't that long ago too. I think it is illegal now.

The egg store in my town also had live poultry in the store. The were Jewish so didn't sell the duck blood that I know of. But you could always get a fresh turkey or chicken. And fresh eggs. They would have live peeps and ducklings in the store front at easter that they would sell.

My wife went to Cozumel with my daughter and my brother in law about three weeks ago. Here's one of the many pics she took on a beautiful evening:

There's a pelican perched on top of the palapa, at the left of the pic.
Cozumel is a great place. I have been there a number of times. This was back in the days where there was only like 2 pay phones on the island. The Vista Del Mar (our usual hotel) had no phones in the room. If you really needed to make a call, the usual, procedure was to go to the boat dock and have one of the captains do a ship to shore to the mainland. So calls were rare. It was paradise.

I just wonder how things have changed.

They have changed a lot... the island now has excellent infrastructure, luxury hotels, and 4G cell broadband... not sure that's a good thing.

I received this yesterday.

It is basically zinc with a copper (~2.5%) case.

It cost 0.015 USD to make!

It is largely without utility.

Why does it exist?

Why do I still bend down and pick one up when I spot an abandoned one?
