Some handheld macro shots from the garden. It was a gloomy morning (sun's out now!) so I had to use fill flash to get enough light. On the bug, it was direct and -2EV, on the flower I used a Magmod dome diffuser and no EV change.

The camera this go was a Canon 6D, which is my backup body since the 5D Mark IV was all set up on the tripod with filters for sunrise. The lens is the Canon EF100mm Macro IS USM which is a very sharp lens, I really like it.

A large satellite orbiting the earth and causing the oceans to rise and fall. Fortunately, it seems to be in a stable position and so doesn't pose a threat at this time.

This is a photo taken yesterday as they were "floating" in a parabolic descent.
Lucky kid! I wouldn't be doing that in a million years.
