While out enjoying the warm weather I noticed a bit of activity in the otherwise dead wildflower patches. With a little patience I managed to get a couple of shots.

I believe this one is a Great Spangled Fritillary
A Buckeye Butterfly. I haven't managed to see one of these the last couple years now and found at least two flying around today. Probably the easiest to get a picture of as they aren't as easily spooked as the rest

Edit: I'm not kidding that, when my daughter told me who the party was for, I had no idea who he was. And I'm having a difficult time caring.

Got it ... truth being told, I couldn't care less about sports players myself. I regard them a few notches below movie actors (I never call them "stars") and that's saying something because I couldn't care about said personalities either. BUT, some things, at least down here where I live, are hard to ignore due to the constant bombardment of publicity and all ... Now, if Sabine Hossenfelder had been at that party, that would've been an entirely different thing, at least for me

This time of year the sun sets at quarter to four, and it is dark for over 16 hours, so I think we deserve a spectacular sunset.
