I'm guessing this is a long shot... I picked up a couple pic24fv32ka302 to play with. I didn't realize it at the time, but that particular chip wasn't included in the supported devices of the pickit2. I've done a little digging around and found the device file editor, copied and changed a couple things, and now it will at least recognize the chip. I still am unable to get it to program and was wondering if anyone has gone this route yet and if they would be willing to give up the secrets to getting this one to work.

I know the pickit3 will work, but I'd rather stick with the 2 as long as I can.

Wouldn't you know... I went back one last time to google and found I had overlooked the answer several times. I found that there is a more recent version of pk2cmd out there than what I had along with an more recent version of the device data file. The new data file didn't have it either, but I found something close enough to copy and change. A little more poking around and adding -q to the command line and it works!!! Now to actually figure out what this thing can do...
