This really has more to do with programming, but I figured mabye some of you may have had experience with this kind of thing. I need to turn off the A/D converter on port A so that I can use it as an output. Does anyone know how to do this, and the commands that would be used?

In ADCON1 register, set PCFG3:0 to 0110 to set them all as digital. Look at page 130 in the datasheet.
