I have used some of the 12F Picmicro range, with the option of the 31Khz int clk.
But intending to use a 12F683 just curious as to why manual only specifies the range on P1 of the manual of 8Mhz to 125Khz, and yet else where P19,P20 etc the LF internal osc capable of 31Khz.
I also seen the 12F683 in some projects and articles that state only a 8Mhz to 125Khz clock capability?.
I would like to know why the apparent contradiction.

The internal fast clock is divided by 1, 2, 4, 6, 16, 32 and 64. You can software select any of those and with an 8 MHz clock dividing by 64 yields 125 kHz. There is a separate oscillator running at nominally 31 kHz which can also be selected. See FIGURE 3-1. You can use any clock frequency down to 0 since all of the circuitry is static.

I thought this may be the case, I was just curious why the manual and articles just mention a range of 8Mhz to 125Khz in the specs.
