Can this Photocell switch be used with a 12v DC circuit or is it strictly for 120 vac?


If it will not work with 12v DC... why?

I see... so it will NOT work with low voltage 12v DC circuit?

Unlikely (I could be wrong). I don't think that the load is resistive, like light bulb filament.

 

Yes. I think from the given reference, i can see that you can use it with 12 DC circuit.

 

Hmmmm.... Seems we have a split decision.

Wondering if anybody can recommend a proven dark sensor photocell that has proven reliability. Weather proof would be a huge bonus.

Inexpensive one of course..
