Hi.
First, excuse me for bad english. I'm Italian student.

I need help for a circuit that drives 3 Peltier modules (TEC-12706) in series.

I need to control the Peltier module with a PWM of Arduino.
But I have made a circuit with a simple Mosfet (IRFZ44N).
I know that PWM in a Peltier module is not the best way to control it.
I have increase the frequency of Arduino at 31250Hz because one person asked me that higher frequency don't break the Peltier module.

So, there is a circuit that can drive the Peltier module without damage it? If the answer is Yes, who can help me?

You will need to handle the large current external to the processor, eg. a
MOSFET or an H Bridge component will be required. The Arduino PWM
will control it. Note in either case, depending on design, a gate driver will
be mandatory to get the power switches switching fast to eliminate their
Pdiss. Depends on design parameters, switching freq, package of power
drivers, heat sinking, etc..

What is the current needed by the Peltier and what is the supply
voltage you plan to use for the Peltier series string of 3 ?

Il modulo Peltier è in serie e la corrente massima di queste serie è di 6 Ampere. Il massimo voltage is 45V, and the power alimentation is 50V

I'm just in the process of finishing making a peltier refrigeration unit ... it uses 16 40x40mm peltiers ...

I've used 5 of these 40 x 160 aluminium water cooling blocks ... 4 peltiers fit on each side

Making a continuous sandwich you can make use of both sides of the block ....

I'll pump salt water through the cold blocks and normal water through the hot .... I have flow switches on both feeds so if one of the very small pumps fail the power to the peltiers is cut , otherwise disaster ...

It makes a very compact unit should draw up to 800W ...

I know peltiers are not efficient compared to compressor , but I have excess solar power ... can feed it directly in with no inverter etc

Just waiting for the last few parts to arrive .

A couple of the links are just general MOSFET driving a load.

A Peltier is largely a resistive load, so the ap notes for a general load
apply.

Un paio di collegamenti sono solo MOSFET generali che guidano un carico.

Un Peltier è in gran parte un carico resistivo, quindi si
applicano le note ap per un carico generale [/ QUOTE]

Mi potete aiutare con un semplice circuit? Thanks
