Hi, I've come across these potentiometers before (at least that's what i believe it to be)
if i were to find the pinout to this could it be reused? I'm guessing it would just be GND, VIN and OUT?

i was thinking it would be as easy as soldering some wires to the lines and it should be a functional pot. any help would be appreciated.

I don't see anything resembling a potentiometer in your photo.

I see a PCB, with traces laid out in the form of a multi-position rotary switch.
Not usable for much.

Are you looking at the tinned copper arcs on the circuit board? These are not a 'pot', but are part of a multi-position rotary switch.
