Hello ,

I'm finding difficult to identify the type or part number of small component that is mounted on a industrial variable frequency drive's board
Surfing on the web I've found signs to be both a transistor or a tyristor ...

I've asked help from Farnell and Digichip, but got no solution...

Please see photo attached.
Can you help me ?

Thank you for your time.

Looks like a surface mount Mosfet. But seems to be a in house marked one if you can't find it on line by the part number. Companies do this to keep others from repairing their products.

That's definitely the Fairchild logo.
I tried Googling with that and got nothing useful unless you include the idea that some Fairchild publications have at least 249 pages.
My favorite, datasheetcatalog.com said 2SD249 doesn't exist and neither does FDT249. (I hope I remembered that FDT correctly. I did it right at midnight, but this is the next day.)

Yes, I think the same. It's Fairchild.
The part is used in the control board from a frequency inverter
Allen-Bradley-20BC015A0AYNANC0-POWERFLEX-700.

The board's got a reference, but it's a internal one.
Pic attached.
