I removed the top off a piece of audio gear and noticed this fuzzy plastic piece. It says 6.3a 250v on the side. Is this some type of fuse or fuse holder? Is the fuzz just the plastic deteriorating? Thanks

Fuseholder. That's why there is a fuse symbol on the top.

So I assumed it was an IEC symbol but then I found this

Never used the "IEEE" symbol and can't remember ever seeing it before so I didn't catch that at all...

He did say " It says 6.3a 250v on the side" and though to meself Strange that a relay didn't give both AC and DC ratings... Always something new to learn round here!
