I dunno but yesterday I was having a ton of trouble loading pages, timing out, offline a lot, slow pages, etc.. Plus last night when I tried to log on it was just an oop's, this site doesn't exist. Today its just flyin.
I noticed that as well, a long slow period last night and speedy today.

However, I've accidentally fixed/sped things up when preparing for a move before. It's sort of how you get everything organized when you move to a new house, you find stuff you forgot you had, etc.

Similar thing with computers, you clean up old stuff that may be slowing it down when you are "packing" the software to move.

I had no connection to AAC from 1:32am to 7:54am.. I started to get the shakes!

I kept saying "This isn't funny...not at all"

Now Im all sleep deprived AND, thanks to AAC being down, I accidentally was forced into a "new" part of the internet....

I have only one sound for that experience:

"EEeeewwwwwww"

Dont ask. Lets just say I ran into it by an unfortunate misspelling of an electronic component.

and THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is the reason that the good people here shield our eyes to such "horrible" stuff like that.

The misspelling has no "ill effects" in th e AAC search engine.... AND google should change their motto from "Dont be evil."

......*shivering*

So you did not get your midnight ACC fix. And doing some MCU programming did not stop the shivering. Man you are in trouble I will recommend a A twelve-step program for your AAC addiction.
As a start I suggest
  • Admitting that one cannot control one's addiction or compulsion
  • Recognizing a higher power that can give strength; Your guide will be Lossewire
  • Examining past errors with the help of a sponsor. Experienced members like SgtWookie will go through your posting point out your mistakes
  • Making amends for these errors. You will have to PM every member you pointed in the wrong direction. And tell them you are sorry for ruin their interest in electronics

  • How about starting Yoga, to get inner peace...
  • Sleep in a bed, once in a while, at night, not waking up with qwerty in the forehead....

Loosewire is THE HIGHER POWER? I knEW IT!

I prefer SgtWookie's form of "correcting" over most others. It contains sparking and burnt flesh smells ;)

If I had to PM everyone I gave bad advice to, I would likely crash the system.. And NOBODY wants that ;)
Oh, and as for point 1, Consider it recognized.

You can say so. SgtWookie's form of "correcting" is just like Electrosurgery both contains sparking and burnt flesh smells. If I have to receive either I will prefer/require anaesthesia in advance

I think the other electronics chat site that looks the same as this one is also moving.
That explains all the login problems with both.

Hi guys,

Quick update - The switch should happen tomorrow night. Things are going to be lagged tonight unfortunately, I'm doing a the big rsync at the moment, and will follow up tomorrow evening with any new files. I apologize about the slowness, but things should be speedy by Sunday :)

Thanks all

jrap, what was the reason for the 6 hours of downtime the other night? (Jan 12th) ?

I think we were all hoping it was the switch.. I guess we were wrong ;)

Honestly, I can't figure it out. The current server seems to just be going to ****, and it's rather frustrating. I'm not sure if it's the lead up to a HD failure or what the deal is, I (along with some technical support from the host) can't seem to pinpoint it.
