Hey Bill, how goes it? Rest at ease because the same happened to me. A new poster asked a new question in the thread so that triggered notifications. A moderator likely split the thread moving the new part and creating a new thread. Unfortunately no ghost was left behind or notation. I left a reply last night suggesting the new thread starter begin a new thread.

Matter of fact here it is.
