I also live in Canada and never had as much snow as you have (a suburb of Toronto). We get a few cm at a time a few times in the winter. We have had SPRINGTIME with warm weather for the last month. Do you live in the very north of Canada where there are hardly any people, just polar bears?

 

Muskoka. We get snow here....lots 'n lots. Some bears, but not the polar kind....

I have been to Muskoka many times in the summer after most of the bugs have died but I don't know why humans would go near there in winter.

I don't know if I could live there (probably not), but I could definitely spend a winter or two there. And a bit of body exercise is always welcome.

I see so little snow here in Greece that I always ask for more in the end of each winter.

Shrimps in the frying pan...

Almost dinner time, and that last picture looked good! I love shrimp, if it fresh (frozen doesn't bother me).

 

If the shrimp were caught by a boat without refrigeration a week ago then I can smell the rot many miles away. All fishing boats should refrigerate caught fish immediately.

 

Swedish shrimp are probably already frozen when they're caught.

Shrimp boats here, usually cook them on their way to the main land, but yes. Cooked or frozen immediately.

Swedish shrimp are probably already frozen when they're caught.

Oh yes, actually they are carved out in the ice. The fishermen work more or less like arceologists. With small brushes, hammer and chisel, they harvest the shrimps.

We've had some of our biggest snowfalls this winter as well, out west. Mountains are full, and we're hoping it doesn't all come down in a heat wave.

Gotta love it though. I figure if you live in Canada and can't enjoy winter, you'll have a miserable 6 months.

I also live in Canada. Winter started in December and ended in April so it was only 4 months long.
Of course if you live near the North Pole where nobody lives then it is winter for half the year or longer.
