Is the protection for OA provided by resistors Rp and Rp2 sufficient, is it even possible to do it this way, and are the resistors large enough?

 

You would have to go to the LM10 datasheet and determine whether you will exceed the input’s voltage range at the opamp’s supply voltage. Which is not mentioned in the schematic.
