Odd Question for an Odd Problem: Making an Old Scoreboard into a Clock

And finally, here is the scoreboard in her finished form. You can see the different colored lenses above “Period”, those are the solstice and equinox indicators, currently lit on green for spring. The only issue we are still having, is the leading “1” in the hour digit, is about half as bright as the rest of the lights. Only that strip and never any other digit.

Nice job! Very much in keeping with the original look of the scoreboard. I think keeping the original digit boards mostly intact (updating 12v automotive bulbs to LED) was the right approach.

Good show* to you and the students!

* "Good show" was the absolute highest praise from the owner of the company where I used to work. It signaled excellent work that he respected and appreciated. The lesser management could string together two paragraphs of words praising a job well done, but all of those words paled to a "Good Show" from the boss.
