its not for me to judge or be happy / sad with the views given,
I was just hoping for some more thoughts form people on the question asked.

We here in this forum, which we should ALL know that engineering is the art and science of compromise, understand that better than the average Joe.
Nuclear power in particular, and energy generation in general, is one of mankind’s greatest challenges.
There are no simple solutions, no easy choices. Unless humanity has the willpower to significantly reduce its energy consumption, all sorts of energy generation methods, renewables, nuclear, fossil fuels, should be on the table.

That's a specious argument.
Of course you can't prove the unprovable, but that's not a sufficient reason to ignore the evidence that the rapid increase in average Earth temperatures, which far exceeds any previous rate-of-rise, is likely man-made.
Of course you likely won't be around to fully feel the consequences of inaction, so I suppose it's safe for you to bury your head in the sand.

What's wrong? We didn't take the nuclear fear train like you thought we would?
That often happens when you raise a contentious subject.
If you are annoyed with that, that just don't read any further comments.

On what do you base that absolute statement?
If you are referring to changes, caused by known events, such as volcanos or asteroid impacts, that doesn't apply to the modern era.

you persist in putting your own spin on the question, and keep misunderstanding my question.
I can only assume , especially following your earlier replies, this is intentional, and to disrupt..
All I wanted was for people to give a view on nuclear and when they thought it would be safe, and I clarified this to you as I was expecting an answer of, it is now, or in a few years or never.
I can see that intelligent discourse with you is not possible on this issue, so I will bow out of this discussion.
