Hi, Everyone,
I've recently built a couple of nixie clocks and while looking for a new project i came across this example:

I was hoping there was an alternative to using the ZPD5.2V diode in the HV circuit as i have found this item hard to source. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

It's a 5.2v zener, used to ensure that the voltage being measured doesn't exceed 5.2v and damage the PIC. 5.1v is a much more common value, and should work fine in this circuit. Even a 4.7v one would work.
