I have made some changes on the header and there are 5 choices, the one with the most votes will be chosen I guess, it's really up to the admins I think lol :p. I won't comment as to which one I like, b/c I like all my work lol :p.

First let me say, nice work firestorm.

There is not enough difference between the last four logo's, and that will drive the choices down to two, the first one or all others.

I personally think the All About Circuits wording on logo 5 is the best font choice, but I like the graphic on logo 1.

I don't think you need the powered by vBulletin in the logo as it is already on the bottom of the page, but if you must, make it a much smaller font.

Those are my immediate thoughts.

Those are the critiques I like to here. Not just mess around with it and change it up some. Thanks for the suggestions JoeJester. I am going to replace the Powered by Vbulletin with another graphic, multimeter, pcb board, something(any suggestions or actual pics?). Will continue working with it. The last 4 were to just show minor changes to see which parts you liked. Off to go setup for fireworks then I'll work on it some more.

I'd go for #3. I like clear, plain fonts - they are easier to read than shadowed ones. I also think #3 has just about the right contrast.

Looking good Firestorm.

I've voted for Header 4, I like the text and the background fade works well. Having looked at Header 1, I am beginning to like that one, however I think the red multimeter is a little out of character with the forum colour - mind you we could always look at options for changing that if Header 1 wins.

Provisionally I will leave this poll open till the end of the week (Sunday) and we can gauge from that point if we have a collective answer from a win section of the forum members.

I will change the color of the multimeter(or just find another one--easier that way) for header #1 and also add one to header #3,4, and 5. Hopefully this will be done today after I get my work done.

Haven't messed with Header 1 yet, it's still on the to-do list. Here is Header 5 with some changes on the left side. I can copy them over to all of them if you want to see what they look like on the others.

Just a reminder--If you vote, plz leave a post telling what you like/dislike about the header so I know what might need to be changed...thanks!)

The additional elements on the left-hand side are certainly an improvement. As a standard background, this one is better than the one used in images 2 through 5.

Big thumbs up.

I agree with Dave, the additional elements add to this logo. I'm still not sure if the right side "click for forum home" is necessary, because those words could be the text tag on the whole graphic. That opens up the right side for something, maybe the ohm's law wheel ... who knows.

yea, the right side is for those dumb enough to not know that the banner clicks toward the forum index. I can change that as well if ya'll feel it's unnecessary.

I'm with Joe on this one, loose the "Click for forum home" logo.

How about putting a border around the banner (same format as the text), just to see what it looks like.

For what it's worth, I thought Dave meant the same color and shadows as the text's font. But what do I know, it's all open to interpretation.

Thats exactly what I meant. It would be just interesting to see if it enhances the existing design.

Sry for the lateness(is that a word?). Been at a baseball tourney all weekend and haven't had any free time. I don't like the color of the border and am going to darken it just a tad as well as change the right side as suggested. Just seeing if this is what you meant dave.

Waiting for feedback and would ya'll like to see the same changes done to header 1 and 2?

I like that raised border.

I wouldn't add it to headers one and two ... I'm leaning towards your latest image as a go for me .... expecially after that right hand stuff disappears :).

Maybe someone with access to storage scope with recording capabilities can send you a file of a waveform ... say a NTSC line ... or something appropriate for the schematic you have. I know I can "simulate" waveforms or make a substitued scope waveform in excell like this:

I don't know, we are limited by our imagination.
