I'm trying to build a typical voltage follower circuit. I would like to input an analog signal that ranges from 0-5v and have that same 0-5v repeated out of the output of an op amp.
I'm using an LM741 from radioshack, and the V+ and V- is connected to 12v power.

Now here is the problem I have. For testing purposes I am using a pot so that I can sweep 0 to 5v and verified that this is working correctly, however when I test the output (with negative feedback connected), the lowest voltage I am seeing is around 1.9v. For some reason I cannot go below this voltage. The 1.9 to 5v range works correctly.
Am I doing something wrong? How do I get the full 0-5v range of the signal?
