Awesome! that little pump only pulls 8A so I can drive it directly! I have two on order from different vendors, USPS is so unpredictable that ordering two from different parts of the country pretty much guarantees delivery, no more than 4-7 days after what they predict

 

I though the pump had a built in relay.
I know that relay is rated 10 amps but would recommend using this Relay Module
Wiring the same.

Thank you for reminding me about relay logic! it has been so many years I just plain forgot.
My first intro to RL was in the early 80s, I was a com. tech for a large gas transmission company and they decided to merge the com and data acquisition (later was referred to as SCADA) departments
We had a remote turbine compressor in the Sam Houston National Forrest.
It was controlled by a CD8000 digital control station, it was a behemoth, about like 6 large refrigerators arranged in a square.
You would swing the doors open and it had several hundred mercury wetted contact mil spec relays and delay boards.
I loved it as it brought me tons of overtime keeping it running (actually I did not feel that way at the time)
it "talked" to the Houston gas control at 110 baud IIRC, it had 8 or so lights that were the data stream and you could after a while literally "read" the message going out, 10,000 times more power in your phone today.
It was never a successful station, it like all turbine compressors had a recycle valve that would route gas from the discharge back to the suction side to keep the station from surging, that line never had enough flow so the turbine would simply recycle until it would go down on overtemp.
Ahh those were the days

I picked up a 30A version of this board and installed a second switch and a 1N4004 diode and am driving the pump directly, it works perfectly! THANKS!!
I did not think I needed the 400 PRV of the 4004 but it was simply the first diode I found
I have not measured the quiescent power drain from the module but I am assuming it is not significant.
I am just hauling batteries until I can get the poles installed for the solar panels, I am going to install a full size telephone pole as one of them and am planning to extend my network back there and installing 2-3 cameras to monitor that part of the property so it is a rather large project, but the wildlife/stock have water for now.

 

Turns out the "stand by" current is only 2.5ma and I would guess most of that is the power on LED, not significant enough to worry about.
