The first image shows meter readings as 0V in forward bias condition. This is not true if the transistor is OK.

I am telling this as n00bs might confuse this with correct reading as such.

I think it is best to show the meter in diode check mode rather than in R checking mode.

Since the meter is in the resistance mode the reading is 0 ohms, not volts.

This happens to be correct.

If you would read all the way down to the second paragraph you would find the author shares that same opinion.
