Hi so i have this piezoelectric sensor: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9196
I'd like to hook it up to a oscilloscope and test it out... is there any suggestions on how to do this?

 

Power it up, place your 'scope across the sensor, make some good vibrations.

You don't even need power. Just hook it up to an oscilloscope.

 

How does the TS intend to actuate it in use? It would take a healthy jolt to move that bit of plastic. There's a version with a built-in weight that might be a more suitable choice?
