So I came across a schematic diagram for a superhet fm receiver that uses fm ratio detector, so my question here, can I use the pll cd4046b ic as an fm detector instead of the ratio detector?
The design uses an intermediate frequency of 10.7MHZ.
I am asking this because :
1- l don't want to use a transform as in the ratio detector circuit.
2- I looked in the 4046 datasheet and it says "VCO maximum frequency is 1.2MHZ". I don't know if this has something to do with the IF frequency, so I am afraid that it won't function well with 10.7MHZ.
