the PFC puresine by cyberpower should do that no ?

for 200$usd, it damn well better
Great APC UPS cost me more than USD10000 for 10kw UPS, for at least 1kw its probably at least USD1500
and 200USD UPS most likely not a good UPS at all, most likely just a minimum consumer grade UPS
Online UPS is basically industrial grade nor enterprise grade UPS

well 1000$usd is WAY outside my budget...
yes the ups that is on its way to me isnt an "ONLINE" model but for 200$.. it cant be entirely useless,

should mention... i sometimes feel "resisdual charge" after unplugging the ups(not the one i ordered, the ups that i currently have) from the wall and i touch the prongs after they are completely free of the wall outlet... is that a symptom ?

Any "residual charge"across the mains connector would tend to indicate that the UPS device is functional. And that you should avoid contact with the connector when unplugging it.

okay if it is "functional" then i will just accept that is merely part of its operations... thank you very much.... im currently using a refurb mini pc that i picked up for 40$ until my gaming pc clears the pacific or atlantic ocean... not certain which direction it went....Canada post is straight up cookey duke (nuts)

and do not worry, i am careful not to touch things that are still making contact with an electrical outlet... i have a feeling that 220v might be unpleasant.. but thank you

For some types of advice, I feel obligated to give a warning, no matter how likely it is that the person is already aware of the situation. That is a carry-over from one of my past jobs.

i actually appreciate that just because Canada held title for most educated country on earth for x amount of years doesnt mean i fall into that category, i am after all FRENCH Canadian

simply wanted to make certain the word "functional" wasnt a typo

Not a typo at all! The input to the power supply gets rectified and there are incoming filters that may have a capacitor charged when the plug is pulled. So that tiny bit of mains voltage charge can create a spark or deliver a bit of a shock. And it is more in 220 volt localities.

so ive been using this UPS with my minipc and monitor and internet modem thingy, and about 3-4 table fans... and apart from a mild buzzing when i grazed the metal case of said mini pc (most likely ground issue) no umm severe side effects, is it safe to assume this is sufficiently safe to operate my 1500$cad gaming laptop ? (the price i paid when i ordered, in my heart it will never depreciate in value, oh and i swapped the ram on it and added a nvme since it had a 2nd nvme slot with the 500$ covid money Trudeau sent out during the epidemic)

Battery weight is often the largest part of UPS total weight. Which is quite reasonable.
you know i did ask the seller that, its shape tells me at least 4 ups batteries in there.... but seller said (1 battery pack), i could open it and peak inside but whenever i do that, it feels as if im cheapening it somehow, so i will just leave this be and hope the magic and fairy dust is keeping my pc tech safe from harm:oops:

at this time, i have the following setup.. power going into a cheap intex ups which can dish out 390 watts of modified sine wave and plugged into that is my new cyberpower ups that can dish out 900 watts of pure sine wave.. my pc is connected to the 2nd ups.. and yes i am aware that daisy chaining ups's isnt exactly ideal but a guy on another thread in this forum does 3 ups's and indicated that if the ups isnt cheap crap like my intex ups is, it should be fine, not in so many words but im trying to be nice and not paint others in a poor light
if this thread is no longer of interest to anyone i suppose someone or a moderator can pitch it into the rubbish bin.
