Need help to identify this resistor!

Not sure whether this is a normal resistor or a fusible resistor, also unable to find out the value from the color code.

It has a five bar color code and I guess it is as follows

Grey - Red - Gold - Gold - Black

Hello,

@wayneh The inductors I know have a silver band as the first band.
A 5 band resistor with a black band as the last one is odd.
See the attached PDF for the color code.
Check the bottom of the page of the PDF.

@ wayneh /@bertus: Thanks for responding to my post. Whether inductor or resistor the color code doesn't fit when calculated from either ends, i.e., either you start from grey/silver or black. The culprit is the two gold lines in the middle. Hope someone throws some light. The component is from a 12V smps. It was positioned immediately after input power and the the X2 suppression capacitor that is why I thought it could be a fusible resistor.

Ignoring the black, it's an 8.2Ω, 5% resistor.

I believe a 0.82µH could be marked this way (non-military spec, so no leading silver band). Two gold bands could indicate divide 82 by 10 twice. Normally though you'd use a single silver band for 0.01X. Black band shows ±20% tolerance. see

It's possible the black band may indicate something else, like inductor polarity or maybe an overheat indicator, whether this is an inductor or a resistor.

Can you post a photo of the board? Any indication on the PCB?

@wayneh: I just checked the PCB, it is clearly marked as 8.2 ohm, 2 watt, so problem solved. The black line is the culprit which mislead in its identification. Thanks for your help.
