We need to create a runway approach light sequence for an upcoming race we are holding through a tunnel. Does anyone know of a pre-made sequencer that can do that or a circuit that can do that. Will probably use 120v lights. Needs to run about 30 yards into the mouth of the tunnel. Thanks

Check out Bill's blog. I believe this is called a chaser circuit.

Look here. That describes DC-powered LEDs. You could put as many in your sequence as you like by just modifying that basic design.

If you really want AC means powered lights, you'll need relays instead of transistors as shown. There are solid state relays, which may be a good choice here. You may be able to find them ganged together in an array.

What wattage are you thinking of?
