Is that an existing PCB or a new one you will be designing?

If the former, there may possibly be a substitute as a drop in replacement. Why do you want to change it?

If the latter, then most definitely, that is not the only mosfet that will work. One would need to see the schematic.

Hi jpanhalt, it's an existing PCB , Samsung pack. It seems to have 36 volts in the battery pack but doesn't power up once plugged into the floor scrubber, have tried another borrowed battery and unit works fine. Thank you for you teply. Here's a photo. Scott

It is possibly an IRF7805 (https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/irf7805.pdf?fileId=5546d462533600a401535607c6481cbe ) just judging by what is visible. Is the top blown off or is that just an artifact in the picture? At the end of that datasheet, a diagram shows what the other numbers on the chip mean.

How about a clear picture of the top of the board and some reason you think the other mosfet is bad. Most important, why do you seem to think you need to us another chip?

If you have a mosfet off the board, it is easy to test just using an ohmmeter or diode tester.

I just removed the 7pin MOSFET and test it by neg lead(multimeter) to source and positive to drain and showed .0L, then momentarily touched the positive lead to gate and still read .0L,no movement on mm.
Also, the 7805 has a clean top, just a bad photo.

6week wait on postage to Australia, can it be swapped out for two 3 pin ? Thank you
Probably not. Look at the pin arrangement. Consider maximum package continuous current. Current ratings are often based on the junction temperature, not what is practical for the junction to case.

Yes, best wait till the correct for this PCB arrives.
You don't happen to have a 7pin MOSFET in your loose parts tray you want to sell? Thank you for all your help. Scotty
