hi all i have gotten my hands on a piece of hardware that requires a 485 com link to program,

altho it says n485 on the board i cant find info about that kind of data link, however i do find info about rs485 on the web

my question is,
can i connect it to the rx-tx of my arduino uno and connect true it whit the software on my computer to directly program the board whitout the arduino interface and just have it sitting there trowing data back and forth,

if yes what code do i need for the arduino

if no what needs to be done and what code do i need from there
