If I want I can switch to a 40 Mb down ADSL2+ line for 10 euro a month more.

If I were to get that kinda speed, I'll have to sell an arm and a leg.

10 euro is like 300 MVR for us. Did you know that a 10mbs Business package cost 1500 MVR with a usage limit of around just 10 gigs or so.

I got appx 16mb down and 0.8mb up. This is because I live on the countryside... A guy at work has 60Mb down and 20mb up. I've helped him putting together a server. Now I can see movies from his pc.

I noticed that a lot of common words are missing.

I have 3Mb down, .6Mb up, and mines faster than almost all of my friends (I also live in the middle of nowhere)

I'm paying for 3 Mb/s DSL, and I'm only getting about 1 Mb/s. Magnet, I'm willing to bet I'm more in the middle of nowhere than you are! I'm buried deep in the foothills of the Green Mountains, nothing but trees as far as the eye can see (which isn't too far because there are so many trees ). I've got the worst ISP ever, but I guess it's better than the dial-up I used to have.

My new years resolution is probably to get off the computer for a while and get out more. I need to meet some more people and give my poor laptop a rest

from a lot of things.The economy is changing many things change.Where can you go
