Hello guys, hope you all fine.

I have a simple question- stupid probably- when it says the speed of the motor is x, is it the speed of the rotor or the speed of the rotating magnetic field ??

The speed of the rotor or possibly the speed of the output shaft if the motor has a built-in gearbox. Not all motors have a rotating field.

The RPM of the rotor shaft, A demonstration of this is a common AC 2 pole induction motor, the field rotates at the line frequency, 60hz in NA, so the field rotates at 60hz x 60sec = 3600rpm, but a common rpm for this motor rotor would be ~ 3470 due to the natural slip frequency.
Max.
