I am using totem pole theory to drive a p channel mosfet but still i am getting heat in mosfet...
can anyone help me to come out of this problem?

 

Not enough detail. Load? Current? FET? Drive voltage?

I using a buck converter the input voltage is from panel (Voc - 21V) output to battery is 8V Li ion

But while charging the mosfet gets heat the mosfet using is a P channel mosfet and the gate is driven by a totem pole theory

 

What sort of heatsink do you have on your MosFet?
Part number of MosFet?
