Whether a user understands them or not, we still have to enforce them. For the most part we are pretty patient about it though.

 

How is the verb deem used?

If you read a post that clearly violates the TOS, from your understanding, you can do whatever you wish to make it compliant with the TOS or close it.

Naturally, with the English language, words may not be interpreted universally in the same context, so I'm sure moderators will consult with their counterparts to ensure there is agreement prior to taking some actions.

I still think the moderating team does a fine job, in spite of the many obstacles standing in their way.

 

I 've had the question for a long time. How is the verb deem used? Can you give me some examples? I 'll break them to another thread.

Google definition:

Deem: Verb-- Regard or consider in a specified way.

If I deem something as inappropriate, I regard it as inappropriate. If I deem something safe, then it means I designate it as being safe.

Replace "deem" with the word "designate" and it pretty much works the same way.

Couldn't agree more. The mods do a fantastic job here, regardless of the many rude, indecent, bad-mouthed, obnoxious people who haunt the forums. I think they should keep on doing what they're doing--they're doing their job right.
