What do I need to control stepper motor and set repeated fixed position selection
What best motor and control to do job

You could use a Stepper or a simple DC motor to rotate the turntable thru 90 or 180 degrees.
Can you describe the details of the rotation required.?

Using a stepper gives a startup issue... The step will not be known unless there are indexes..
Unless the park positions are exactly the same distances..

There are a few 180 degree servo motors that would do the job but their accuracy isn't great.

As Eric said.. a DC motor with limit switches to park the turntable may be the best way to go... Steppers could also be used in this way..
Are you controlling with a micro??

For slow applications such as this, turntables etc, a gear box is generally recommended, this makes the motor purchase more economical and reduces the torque demand on the motor by the factor of reduction.
Also greatly reduces any over-run effect when using a DC or BLDC motor.

Although a stepper motor could be used, you might not like the buzzing sound it makes. A DC motor and gearbox will be much quieter. Also, the stepper motor will need a more complex drive circuit than a DC motor.

Hello folks joined merg, they have a system of automation for 2nd hand stepper motor from a printer which costs
5 pounds so thanks everyone who responded

Eric merg have a simple circuit board control for this very purpose costs a fiver
