mixing two different frequency signal

what will be the resustant frequency of the signal if suppose i mix two sine wave signals of equal amplitute and different frequencies(50hz and 60hz)?

It depends on whether you want a linear mixer (summing), or a nonlinear one (multiplying). In the first case, no new frequencies will be created. In the second case - what Jotto said.

Using a circuit simulator comes to mind as the simplest way to get an image, or else breadboard and scope the signals if you have a lab with the right equipment.



There are different Mixers but for the 50Hz and 60Hz you mentioned you can see the 10Hz beat frequency in the simulator circuit I have shown in the picture.
