Hi, I´m designing a system where a host is communicating via MIPI DSI (4 lanes) to a FPGA. The host and the FPGA are sperated and should be connected via a cable. In the best case there is a distance of more than 1m between host and FPGA. I was thinking to design a flex PCB to transmitt the MIPI signals, but I was also wondering why I should not just use a standard cable like microDP cables? Does anybody has experience with using standard cables like HDMI, microDP?
I know there are off the shelve flex PCBs for mipi, but I also need to transmitt other signals and I try to make my life easier.
Thank you,
Gregor
