MIPI module board

Hi,
I am looking for some information on how to design a MIPI connector board between the sensor and processing unit. A high level picture looks like this:

You can see the camera sensor is attached to some module (this is my target here) and all its signals are connected to a processing unit via ribbon cable. So what I try to establish is, what logic needs to be included in the sensor board. I found this diagram:

But this is still a bit too high level, plus I believe blocks like level shifter or filer are already part of either the sensor or the controller. Below is the schematic of the controller MIPI input, so what I need to know is how the corresponding signals that leave the sensor need to be "adjusted" so the controller reads them correctly.

Thanks for help!

While I suppose this post is intended only for those folks who are familiar with a what "MIPI" actually is.
BUT, on the chance that somebody may be familiar with it by a different name. would the TS please let us know what a MIPI is.

@MistererBill2, yes I assumed that if someone doesn't know what MIPI is they won't be able to help her. For the record:

MIPI originally stood for Mobile Industry Processor Interface, defining standards for connecting components in phones; however, the organization, MIPI Alliance, now uses "MIPI" simply as a brand name for its broader set of high-speed, low-power interfaces for mobile and mobile-influenced devices like cars, drones, and IoT, covering camera (CSI), display (DSI), and other internal chip connections.
