Photons are a quantization of the electromagnetic field. There is only one EM force with the magnetic and electric fields as projections of that and our magnetic and electric lines are classical physics models of the only one electromagnetic field per Maxwell's equations.I've always thought of a photon as the intersection of a magnetic and electric lines of force 90° Apart and in coherence w/ each other.
