Talk to Crucial first.

Ask them about memory organisation.

It's possible they sent the wrong module, I've seen this too.

OK, have tried two identical CRUCIAL memory cards in slots 1 and 2 but the laptop wont boot up. It starts to but then suddenly stops. Removed the new Crucial memory card from slot 2 and the laptop boots up fine, no problem.

Have also double checked with Crucial and they confirm the memory cards are correct for my laptop.

Any body out there got any ideas for me please.......Thanks John

Hi, have you resolved the issue yet? I havent.

 

Just a thought. Is there a jumper to re-position, or a BIOS change that needs to be made, before the laptop will recognise the added memory?
