I frequent several online forums, but have never met a member personally.
Until now, that is.
Prior to my South America trip, I contacted ATFerrari. We exchanged a few WhatsApp messages, and arranged to meet in Buenos Aires.
We had a wonderful, wonderful time in Buenos Aires. Thank you very much, Agustin. You are an excellent host.

I've met a couple of people from the forum in person, and one person from another, very different, forum more than twenty years ago. All have been very pleasant experiences.

 

One thing I often fantasize about is participating in a convention of sorts in which I get to meet the most interesting members of this group.

 

I had the pleasure of meeting OBW0549 back in the summer of 2019 when he was on his cross-country road trip. Great fun.

I encourage all of us to consider what members may be near as we travel to various destinations. I've been to Monterrey but long before @cmartinez and this forum. If I'd only known.

 

I have met five AAC members in person. Always good to meet up and see the real person behind the screen.
I missed the chance of meeting one member when we worked in the same building and did not realize it until later!
