Hey Everyone!

I have a fairly simple circuit that uses a momentary switch and a latching relay to activate a solenoid. I am trying to change this circuit so the operator has to hold the momentary switch for 3-5 seconds before the signal is sent to the solenoid. What would be a simple way to do this?

Thank You!

Depending upon the relay coil voltage and current, it could be as simple as adding a transistor, resistor, diode, and capacitor.
What is the relay coil voltage, current, and type (AC or DC coil)?

A $7 dollar Arduino and a USB cable to program it. It may be overkill on the hardware but the price includes the board to connect your I/O wires and you get to try countless options without re-soldering anything.
