I have to admire the fact that they bulldozed that restaurant flat and built a new McDonalds in the same spot
Funny, they did the same thing here. When they took down the building, I was curious to see what would go up in its place. I was shocked to see another McDonalds go up! Huh? I've never seen such a thing before, tear down a business about build a duplicate in its place.

McDonalds is on their 3rd or 4th generation of standardized site plans. The older McDonalds stores were set up for the old grills and fairly large kitchen area vs. Seating area, single drive through stations, two-way traffic in parking lot. The new way of cooking on the conveying system and more people wanting to use drive through, and the McCafe interior design - some stores just cannot be reconfigured easily without starting over. McD has been leveling and rebuilding since the 1980s.

The last time I ate at McDonalds, I spent 2 days in the hospital with Salmonella.

but I still don't place the same bet twice when the penalty for picking the wrong horse is a near death experience.

If you believe the Healthnuts, eating at McDonalds is a form of slow death, anyway.

I think that we have a lot of unnatural things in our modern lives to thank for our increase of not only our lifespans, but of our quality of life as well
The first probably, is (compulsory) vaccination. Without that help, most of us would be not posting here and crowded cities would be a rarity. Nature would be doing its natural selection undisturbed.
