OK, emulating an analog control stick signal with a digital signal is going to be interesting at the least. And in this case an isolating interface does make sense. An opto-isolator may be an even better isolation method, though.

Is the wireless control a serious effort, or an experiment to prove a concept. I can see some interesting applications.
